I loved this series of posts... we're not in the same genre. but I think this apply's none the less. In my scene (I'm only local right now) I've noticed that most bands try and play wherever and whenever they can... they don't give themselves the lead times you've mentioned here, or they do but they only promote with facebook invites, and then they complain about not having anyone new show up.

I've taken a different route and have found much more success than my peers... but this post added to some of the things I can't wait to try out... Thanks again. you're awesome.

I only caught the end of your nights but they in my opinion were exactly what I wanted to hear live in Birmingham. I would never have had Fieldhead, Epic 45, Port Royal or The Declining Winter in my CD collection if I had not attended one of your nights. It's a damn shame and I am sorry to hear that you wont be furthering Colour events. I understand why though, all the very best with your plans and whatever you decide to do.

I also managed to take my then new girlfriend to one of your evenings before to try and educate her - it was part of a great evening in Brum so I have a good memory sitting with my girlfriend and seeing some beautiful soundscapes courtesy of Fieldhead.

Thanks for the good ones.

Thanks Simon, I'll check that out. The gig was amazing, one I'll always remember - the church was pretty small, only holding around 300 people and the acoustics were fantastic, perfect containment for the Wonder Show of the World songs.
